Each of these three service levels provides different services and turnaround times. Basic proofreading will read the document thoroughly, and provide basic spelling, punctuation, and grammar fixes. Copyediting provides the services of proofreading, but also adds in style, checks for consistency, and sentence-level checks for logic. Structural editing provides a complete document analysis. This involves checking logic at the paragraph and document level, rewriting awkward sentences, and performing all of the checks of the previous levels.
